yeah, it's mostly just me. /)-_-(\ (. .) .-----__/\o/ / __ / \__/\ / \_\ |/ \\ || // || |\ |\ The Great Molasses Flood occurred on January 15th 1919 in the North End of Boston when the Purity Distilling Company storage tank filled with twelve thousand tons of sugarcane molasses burst and flooded through the streets at 35 miles per hour, killing 21 and injuring 150. For decades afterwards the area still smelled of molasses on hot summer days. This sound is a weary melancholic haunting; muted by time, and wistfully wise with remembering. A chord played when a wall of soft heavy weight hit and depressed the keys. The sound finally pulling free from it's encasement to echo round an old red-brick warehouse down by the docks. It was suddenly played and immediately trapped, engulfed in an unimaginable tide of burnt umber, so long ago that the sharper tones have started to peek back through that sickly-sweet amber cement that has held the note preserved for a hundred years to finally catch the sunlight a little. Enslavement sugar, dock work, prohibition liquor and guns. To your health and safety friend. /* TEAM */ Developer: Ben Dalton Twitter: @noii Location: Leeds, England
